21st Card for Him

Just sharing another card I made this week for one of Sarah's friends 21st.  I have recently bought a few reverse confetti dies and some from simon says stamp and just love them.  This one features the "Happy Birthday" from Simon Says Stamp.  Papers are from Echo Park.

Sarah's 21st

Finally had a moment to drop by and share some of the creations I made to celebrate my gorgeous daughter Sarah 21st birthday.  Cant believe my baby is 21!

First up here are a few shots of the High Tea decorations I made:

My cuttlebug was working overtime making lolly bags, bunting and banners, menu's etc.  The colour theme was apricot, grey and white.  We also used some of the bunting and design from the lolly bags to make thank you cards afterward.

And here is the card I made for Sarah.  This is the first exploding box card I have made and I just loved creating it.  The top layer of the cake is velcroed on so you can remove it to turn the battery operated tea light on and off.  You can see in some of the pics the tea light is on and some it's off.  All the papers were those we used for the High Tea decorating and from Kaisercraft!

More Cards in a Box

Back again to share some more card in a box creations.  We have had a few birthdays this month and a work colleagues granddaughters arrival to celebrate and here are the cards I created to pass on my love and best wishes.

My Great Nephew's 4th Birthday Card

My gorgeous Great Nephew turned four last week and he loves TMNT so when I saw cards similar to this on Pinterest I knew I had to create one of my own specially for this adorable little man.

I also used my envelope punch board to create a matching box style envelope.  The papers were from My Minds Eye and I used punches, Marianne Creatable dies, Reverse Confetti dies and MFT dies to create the embellishments.

My Husbands Birthday Card

A but of a nautical theme here with some of my newer MFT dienamics and my fav paper company - MME again.

Welcoming a new Grandchild

One of the lovely ladies I work with became a grandma for the first time recently and this is the card I created for her.

I created the matching box with my envelope punch board like the TMNT card.

The clouds had a little glitter pen applied to them.

A mixture of bunting and onesies were hung on the clothes line

And I used my newly acquired typewriter to personalise the card a little further.

Thanks for dropping by!

August Birthday Creations

August begins with two special birthdays in our family - my mother-in-law and my niece.  I had made these cards a few weeks back but didn't want to share them until the birthday girls had them and opened them on their birthday - August 2nd.

First up I made yet another card in a box for my mother-in-law for her 75th birthday.  I found the very cute miniature bird at one of my fav scrapbooking store - Paper Squared in Mornington and knew I had to find a way to use it on her card.

I started with the box - a flat white box which I decorated with the gorgeous PION design papers I also bought,

I continued with the MFT birdhouse theme for this card similar to the one I made and shared in my last post.

This time however I wanted to incpoporate some rolled flowers and ofcourse the cute little bird.

The MFT miniature doilies and bow are also used here - just the right size!

Flattened out and ready to go in the box!

The next card I created I used my
also newly purchased WERMK Envelope punch board. Normally I don't lots of tools or gadgets but I had been continually asking myself if I should get this one an after looking on Pinterest at the awesome creations people came up with I went ahead and purchased one.  Not only can you make interesting and customised envelopes you can also use it to create boxes, card bases, bows, pouches ............ the list goes on.  So for this project I used it to create my nieces card and envelope.

The card is a match box style card with pop up inserts and the envelope was more like a box so it could safely house the match box card inside.

Here is the match box card all closed up.  The dies on the front were from Reverse Confetti and MFT stamps.  Again the paper was from Pion Design

This is the insert of the match box card.  The flowers pop up as you pull the tray section out of the cover.  There is als room inside to add a gift card.  Just a cute way to give a gift card!

The flowers were all flat MFT die-namics flowers which I re-enforces on the back with some acetate to help them spring up when the box opened.

Thanks for stopping by - please feel free to leave a comment .... Love to hear what you think!

Card in a Box

Well it's all systems go in our house with the reno's amd it was time to pack up the craft studio last week ready for  new paint, carpet and a much needed redesigning of my storage!  But just before the big pack up I managed to get in there and play with some paper and dies.

I have seen a lot of "Cards in a Box" designed by some talented Stampin Up ladies on Pintrest and on You Tube. So I decided to have a go at creating some of my own for some special birthdays.

The actual process of creating the card base was so easy and then the fun really starts with the embellishment and theming.  Can I say I think I am addicted and can't wait to get back into my refurbished craft studio to make some more.

So here is what I created:

The debut card was for gorgeous Great Niece for her first birthday and the second and slightly larger one was for my dear friend Angie for her 50th.

I must say I did like the slightly larger version as I had a little more area to work with and could incorporate some larger die cut elements.

So here are some close ups of the two cards:

Angie's 50th Card

It was so much fun creating these cards using some of my favourite Echo Park and My Minds Eye papers, MFT die-namics, Elizabeth Design dies and Simon Says Stamps and Dies.

Here are the links to the tutorials I used to get started:
