A Few Cards to Share

I was asked to make some cards for some 90th birthdays and just a general birthday card so here is what I created!

Papers are from MME The Sweetest Thing Collection.  Rolled flowers and doily were made with dies from MFT and butterflies and foliage were made from punches by Martha Stewart.

Papers are from Graphic 45 Baby 2 Bride Collection, rolled flowers and doily were made with dies from MFT and butterflies and foliage were made from punches by Martha Stewart.

Papers are from MME Lost and Found 2. Rolled flowers are from Green Tara. The doily was made using a die from MFT and butterflies were made using a Martha Stewart punch.  Foliage was made from a Carl punch.  Banners are hand cut.

Getting My Mojo Back

Although the last few weeks have been very busy this week has seen me find a little more spare time to just play and what better way to play than with my favourite challenge blog as inspiration - Mojo Monday!

I love this weeks inspirational sketch by the talented Julee Tilman - here it is!

And this is my card creation:

As you can see I have flipped the sketch.  My circular element was created with one of my favourite dies from MFT Stamps - their die-namics Dainty Doily.

Papers were from the MME Collectable "Unforgettable" collection and I also used Kaisercraft card in ivory.

I have really enjoyed playing along with the sketch challenge again!  Thanks to the Mojo Monday DT for their inspiration!

Classes at Scrapppy Hollow

Wow that time has come again when I get to share my monthly class creations.  I am running a little late this month with the share - life has been a bit hectic of late but I am happy to say things are slowing down a little as formal classes and design team commitments are just about over for 2013.

So here is what we created in class last week - once again thank you to everyone who came, I appreciate your support and love helping you along your creative card making journey.  Teaching you is so much fun!

We started with the card which I loved as it used the very cute postcard tag from the St Nicholas collection.  This month we also had a focus on bows.  There were four different methods of tying or creating bows incorporated into the class.

We then made two different styles of tags.

And finished off making this cute gift bag and peg.

Paper Collection:

This was the last formal class for 2013.  My November class is a class reserved for my "frequent flyer" ladies and I am very excited to be making a unique Christmas creation with them in November.  There are no sneak peeks to share of this class as part of the fun for me is keeping the project a secret!

I am also excited to announce that I have been asked to continue teaching classes at Scrappy Hollow in 2014!  I will be back after my November class to share my sneak peeks of my first 2014 class with you all.  2014 will see a few changes to my class format and inspiration. I am really working hard to plan classes focussing on things that inspire card makers and also on featuring products, techniques and tools that are key elements card creating.  So the year will be full of classes that are either inspired by ???? or focus on creating with ????.  I am looking forward to sharing my ideas and plans with you in November. So please stay tuned!!!!!

New Dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs

It's been a busy week for Design Team posts with Aussie Scrap Source this week.  I was lucky enough to be one of the first DT members to create with a new line of dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

As part of the post I was also excited to be able to feature one of my favourite card designers Kittie Caracciolo.  You can see her blog jammed packed with fabulous creations here and my DT post here
